Showcasing Penny Goodwin

Penny Goodwin, aspiring art and design student, focusing on textile design. I love working with photography, painting, sculpture, video and finding new creative ways to document work. I also find fine art to be the foundation of art, and I feel like I really grew my roots working from this background and then continuing onto Textile design.

I want to promote freedom of expression through the mediums of art and design. Looking at past and present projects and researching Inspiring artists and designers. Using this website as a platform to expand my knowledge and reflect on developing ideas with a creative outlet to document work.

  I am currently fascinated in smart materials and incorporating them into Textile design which could be where the future of textiles stems from. I am interested in researching artists and designers who currently use these materials in their work. I am also interested in researching more sustainable ways of creating and materials that can be used in textiles.
